They are coming along

Well as you can see below, we finally have the OSB on. They have a few things left to do, but the framers should be done tomorrow. The roofers will put the "tar paper", that is what I call it, don't know or care if that is the real name, but it works for me, on Tuesday and shingle on Wednesday. The Windows and doors were delivered today. Our front door won't go in until the end. They use a "dunnage" door while they are working on the house, and then bring the real doors back at the end. You can see a hole in the roof, no this is not a sky light, it's just a hole to hand things up to the guys working on the roof. This will be filled in before the roof is finished.
I know all you ladies are going to be jealous of my rubbermaid contianer decorating in the back.... oh you just have to love apartment life. Both girls snuck in bed with me this morning while Jeff was getting ready for work. I will be soooo glad when we get in the house and make the rooms dark again.

Going, Going, Gone

Poor Jessie all of her friends have already lost there first teeth, most of them have lost multiple baby teeth (Ellie and Andrew have most of there's gone). She came home from school on Thursday and said her tooth hurt. Well by Friday (she got of school at noon) after school, that baby was loose enough to come out.

Here is Jessie with all of her teeth. I really wanted to get a family picture before her teeth started coming out, I guess that won't happen. Jeff pulling on her tooth. When it actually came out I didn't get a picture of it. But there was lots of screaming. Not from it hurting, but she was soooo excited to finally have lost a tooth.
Here she is with one less tooth. The tooth fairy brought her $2. She thinks she is pretty hot stuff.
Of course Jeff had to give them the lesson of brushing a flossing now that she will have "grown up" teeth.
Jenna wanted to show all her teeth as well. This picture just cracks me up.

All three just hanging out. Jessie was bummed because you can't see that her tooth is gone very well. :)
I will try and post some more pics of the house this week. They should have the roof on by Wednesday..... We will see.

Roof Day

This is the front of the house. They got most of the rafters up by crane on Monday and Tuesday. Since it rained all weekend, they did not get it done over the weekend. This caused many affects. 1) They could not get the crane all in one day because other people had it scheduled so they could only use it when not already in use. 2) The roofers were suppose to start on Monday, so because they didn't come out to the job site last Tuesday, along with all the rain, they put everyone behind schedule. This is the back of the house. The girls are very excited that there rooms look out over the back.
The big window to the far right is Jessie's bedroom and then the next two windows (moving to the left) are Jenna's. Our bedroom is to the far left.

The reason I took this, is because you can see (kind of) above the forward facing garage (you know the one that is BARELY wide enough for the excursion) will be the girls play room. I told Jeff we should put a secret passage way from Jessie's bedroom into it, but then Jenna wouldn't have one....
After dinner we went out to the house. Well both sets of neighbors came over, and Brian (the builder) happened to come out with his two girls, Madi and Ragen, they are Jenna's age. So all the kids were playing in the mud, catching toads and running from both the neighbors yards to play on the swings. They had a ball. We made them take showers when we got home. After Jenna's shower, she dried off. When she dries off she lays on the floor and waits for the water to dry. Well needless to say, she fell asleep waiting to dry off. She is so cute when she's sleeping... but aren't they all? :)

Hope you are all having a great day. Kim - I'm counting down the days!!!!!

Dancing Fools

Jessie and Jenna would not leave Michael and Danielle alone. During the dollar dance they danced with both of them. My mom and dad danced with them also my mom though, did not take her glasses. Needless to say, she must have really wanted to dance with Michael because she gave him more than a dollar.

Jessie loved dancing with Danielle.
By the end of the night, poor Jenna was sooooo tired. But she REALLY wanted to do the chicken dance. She talked her daddy into carrying her out to do the chicken dance, don't they look like they are having a ball! :)

Jessie couldn't let her little sister have all the fun!
After the chicken dance a slow dance came on, and I thought finally I can dance with Jeff. Well Jenna still wanted to dance with him. So after one song she was out. I don't know who liked it better Jenna or Jeff ( secretly I think Jeff liked it better).

the cutest flower girls ever

As I had posted earlier, Jeff's nephew got married last weekend. Jeff was a groomsman, and the girls were flower girls. They had a very good time, as I'm sure you can imagine. Below is a little family pic. (I was nothing, just incase you were wondering :)

Jessie and Jenna on the gazebo, where Michael and Danielle got married. They were very excited about there "crowns".

Me and my handsome hubby!

Our Lights

Well as most of you know, I am the bargain shopper. So when I found out what are lighting allowance was, I started searching the internet. I found some lights that I liked and went to our builders lighting supplier. They didn't carry any of the lights that I found online, but had the lights below. So after we picked everything out we went over budget (the first time) but it was only $50, so I think I can handle it! :)
These lights will go in the 1/2 bath and above the girls vanities.
These lights will go in the master bath, and the guest bath.
This chandilier will go in the dining room
In the kitchen I have a large island, and will have 3 of these mini - pendant lights.

I found our mirrors the other day at Gordmans, and they are really cool. I am very excited and it was less than half of the allowance. Jeff has never been so happy that I love to shop, and that I am so darn cheap! :)

I have been shopping like a fool, and it has all paid off. We got a great deal on our faucets, and door knobs, once I figure out how to post those pics.

We have a 2nd Floor

Jeff and I went to Ohio for Jeff's nephews wedding. We left on Thursday and the first floor was done, and we were expecting to come home and see the second floor on. When I went out to the house on Tuesday I was really disappointed. They hadn't done anything. The framer had a crew member that didn't have a license. So the owner let him use his truck to get to the work site. Well the guy got pulled over, and the truck got impounded. So needless to say, Tuesday no work got done. When I went out this morning, this is what I found.

The builder told the framer he had until Monday to get it ready for the roofer, he didn't care how he got it done, but it better be done. I guess he took him seriously, because as he said "they went balls out".

Jenna's first day of school

Jenna is in Pre-K at Our Savior. She goes 5 days a week for 1/2 a day. She unlike her sister, does not like school. She was not all that excited about going as you can tell. But after her first day of school, she is very excited about it. She thinks that it is really cool, and Jessie is working with her each night to help her learn how to write her letters. Actually Jessie just likes to boss her around, I think.

A country girl

We were out at the house one night, and Jessie had to go potty. Of course there is no where to go, but squat. So Jeff thought it was just hysterical to take a picture of her. Jenna makes sure her daddy doesn't have a camera when she has to "go".

framing under way

These pictures were taken last week. They are for part of the front and the back. In the front, the opening to the far left is the dining room windows and then in the center is the front door. It will have two side lights, and one over the door. In the back you can see the three windows to the left are the family room, the siding glass door opening which is the dinette area that will go out onto the deck and then a small window that will be where the kitchen sink is.
